Really enjoyed this episode. Trying to make it in the small business world is usually a series of failures followed by 'overnight' success. Definitely will check out Nik Hawk's product.

Paleo diet is a ridiculous joke. Eating healthy doesn't need a name.  It doesn't take a scientist or fellow operator to tell you that eating things that are processed or not naturally intended for human consumption is probably not the best for you- and yet we have intelligent guys rushing to amazon.com to spend money on books to learn about things they already know. Surprise surprise, eating lean naturally raised meats, raw vegetables, nuts, berries, and snacking frequently on fruits is ideal for your body. The only milk any mammals drink are as babies; no brainer there too. Any of you thinking about buy a book or hiring a special paleo cook- I just saved you $$$. Go eat a spinach salad and hit the gym. 

Been looking forward to this one....been virtually gluten free and dairy free for half a year, power yoga for six. It does change things. I bookmarked the sight. Will check it out, see if I can cajole DDP into the fray....

Great show - as always.   The gorilla story was hilarious, and I have to admit I'm tempted to rent a gorilla suit :)   I'm a straight-up carnivore so any eating plan that allows me meat is a winner in my book.  I have to admit that that I would really miss buttered popcorn and Fritos, though.   And thank you, Brandon, for sharing Glen's party with us.  You are truly a great friend to have.

Ok, so we get the guys behind Kill Clif, Paleo Treats.com and Dale Comstock together to brainstorm the ultimate SOF training and recovery Diet then market that to the US DoD.  Healthier Warriors, with the energy to stomp dudes into mudholes 'round the Clock!  What could be better?  This is a no-Brainer! 

I could seriously go sideways and begin some half assed rant about evolution but I won't.  The concept that we are eating stuff our bodies were not designed to eat makes good sense.  All the preprocessed and sugar laden "FOOD" that is on our grocers shelves gives us convenience at the cost of our health.  Since my wife is from Iran we tend to eat more like she would, rice, lentils, Chick peas, Lamb, Chicken, Beef, fish once in a while.  But the thing I noted about her more than anything else is the fact that she makes good use of our fresh fruits and vegetables, apples, oranges, pomegranates, avocados, apricots, plums, pears anything she finds we devour.  If she could eat salad three meals a day she would.  I have made a conscious effort to cut back on my red meat intake since I was in my early twenties.  I like Bread but I'm not one that needs it with every meal, my wife is.  Dairy is a strange thing, I love cheese, but probably eat no more than the equivalent of a stick of butter a month.  My wife makes yogurt every week and maybe twice a month I'll put two tablespoons full on  some rice, She devours it.  Every month I take some of her yogurt and make a fresh cheese with it, all My girls eat it on bread for breakfast.  Some of that milk whey goes directly into a traditional been stew called Ash Reshteh.  

Food is something we could seriously get a whole site started about. : )             

Whats with the no dairy thing, I drink like a gallon a day of skim milk. Is there something I should know...
