@mrfrosty History really went downhill as well - you're right. I was watching one nat geo program towards Clovis people dealing with the end of the last ice age. You had a huge die off in saber tooths, sloths, mammoths, etc. So Nat geo theorized that the clovis people had hunted them to extinction, which was a bit much.
just like the History Channel the majority of their programs now rely on Authors trying to plug their crappy books and theories.
Natgeo still every once in a while does a decent special with real experts.
I've seen this before: hindsight is 20/20.
@mrfrosty Nat geo is a complete disgrace. I still love the magazine, but their TV programs are drivel.
