Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield Memorial Gear and Charitable Donations

Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield Memorial Gear and Charitable Donations
It’s been a week since we lost two good men, Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield. In that time so many good people have donated their time and money to support  both families and to honor them.

People have wanted to purchase Chris Kyle memorial gear as a way to help, and there have been some really great organizations lending their resources, but unfortunately, we’ve seen a whole crop of scammers offering Chris Kyle memorial items that are unlicensed, unauthorized and often come with bogus claims that the proceeds will go to Craft or the Kyle family.

It stops now.

SOFREP and Craft International LLC are working together to keep these predators from taking advantage of the generosity of good people and to protect Chris’s identity.  We’re asking you to help us be the sheepdog.

Here is How YOU Can Help

SOFREP will be posting and updating a list of official and authorized memorial gear.  There are many great companies who are still reaching out to Craft and the Kyle family to work out how they can help donate, so please, bear in mind some very good companies are still getting their ducks in order and have the most honorable intentions. We are compiling a list of authorized vendors. We will also be dealing with the scammers.

Then there is the dirty underbelly of all of this.  I’m asking the SOFREP mafia and any guests who come by, if you see Chris Kyle memorial gear for sale anywhere to please use the comments section of this post to list the seller name and a link to the listing.

Please DO NOT contact the sellers yourself – let the SOFREP Team and Craft International handle inquiries and/or legal issues.

There are people out there that truly want to help the families and we don’t want to threaten everyone with trademark and copyright infringement.  Having said that, we want to come down hard on anyone taking advantage of the public’s generosity.

For now, if you would simply post a link below to any suspicious Chris Kyle memorial items you find, that will be a tremendous help.

Official Memorial Gear

Craft International LLC created memorial gear that is the “official” Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield memorial gear.  All profits will be donated to the families through a 501(3)(c) so that it’s the most tax efficient.  These are the official Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield memorial items available at the Craft website:

Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield Memorial Gear and Charitable Donations

Vetted Memorial Merchandise Vendors

These are the companies who are currently in communication with Craft and SOFREP making the proper arrangements.  This list will be updated as we go.

  • TactialTShirts
  • SniperCompany
  • RE Factor
  • Forged Clothing

Where to Donate Directly

Note: The family’s attorney has asked that all future donations be directed to the trusts set up below (14k or less is tax free), or Debbie Lee’s charity, America’s Mighty Warriors.

Craft International has set up the Chris Kyle Memorial Trust and the Chad Littlefield Memorial Trust.  There are links on the craft website where you can donate directly to either or both funds.  These trusts provide for the general welfare of the families as well as the education of their young children.  100% of the donations will go to the respective families. Donate to the Chris Kyle Memorial Trust and the Chad Littlefield Memorial Trust now.

For people who want a tax deduction, donate to America’s Mighty Warriors, a charity set up by Debbie Lee, Marc Lee’s mom.

Brandon Webb’s The Red Circle Foundation is also re-directing all initial donations marked for Chris Kyle to Debbie Lee’s charity America’s Mighty Warriors.  Donations that have come in are already marked to move forward.

It is best to make donations directly to the Kyle and Littlefield Memorial funds via the Craft site or to Debbie’s charity listed above. We hope to avoid having donations going all over the place and getting bogged down in the paperwork and legalities of moving those funds around.  Please make sure any donations you send are clearly marked with the name(s) of who you are donating to in memoriam.

Chris Kyle Memorial: Monday, Feb 11th

  • Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the service starts at 1 p.m.
  • Lots 1, 2, and 10 will be open for parking.
  • No cameras, bags or purses will be permitted inside the stadium.

Chris Kyle Memorial Procession: Tuesday Feb 12th, 8:00 am – 1:00pm

The route will start  at 8 a.m. and will travel from the Multi-Purpose Stadium south on 14th Street in Midlothian, Texas to U.S. 287. The procession will then travel south on Interstate 35E to Austin bound for the Texas State Cemetery at 909 Navasota Street.

Motorists along the route are alerted to expect delays during the four-to-five hour motorcade which will include military personnel, first responders and Patriot Guard Riders.

I will be working directly with Craft International to update the lists of Vetted Vendors and track the scammers as the pop up.  If you see a someone pushing Memorial Merchandise, please post that information below.

Thank you for all the kind words, support and prayer for Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield, and thank you for taking the time to help me shoot down anyone trying to use them for ill gain.

Whats up with INFIDEL USA's "F" rating with the BBB?

 Is 511Tactical legit?

oldSquid

I'd say yes. Chris endorsed 5.11 on his Craft website and sold their gear. They are a reputable Company in the tactical ops field - making good clothing and gear - although they don't make pants long enough for me...

@osc2 I could cut 'em off and make shorts, but then that would defeat the whole purpose of the cargo pockets... they just don't make things for normal sized people on this planet...

You guys need to look at the following on Custom Gun Rails inc.

http://shop.customgunrails.com/Chris-Kyle-Memorial-Large-Laser-Engraved-Aluminum-LEA-LEA070CKM.htm

They are selling Chris Kyle Memorial, laser engraved rail covers. There is no mention of the funds going to the family.

Regarding InfidelUSA :

InfidelUSA did not have permission to sell Chris Kyle memorial gear.

InfidelUSA has a history of screwing over the Michael Murphy foundation Seal of Honor.

InfidelUSA contacted Craft after being called out.

InfidelUSA also contact SOFREP after being called out.

InfidelUSA claims a 30K donation to Craft and a 11.5K donation to FITCO.  These are being verified.

InfidelUSA advertised their sales of Chris Kyle memorial gear with a promise 100% proceeds would go to Craft/CK funds.  Sales accounting is not verified.

InfidelUSA claims SOFREP apologized to them.  This is bullshit.

No one at Craft or SOFREP owes anyone selling Chris Kyle memorial gear who didn't bother to ask the family or Craft first an apology.

Making amends AFTER being called out is not noble, it's being forced to honor your claims.

And the guy has frankly been a douche to anyone questioning him.

Be that as it may, if he made the donation as claimed, that is a nice donation to the Kyle family, whether it is geniunely 100% proceeds or not.

Stand down until Craft and SOFREP have all the information.

@LauraWalkerKC I apologize since I was one of the guys giving serious heat to Infidel USA and Mr.Steiner. I hope at least this is legit and he made good on his promise. I'm afraid without the heat, things might have been a little different. I think the reason he was so pissed off is because we legally backed him into a corner to give up a large sum of his money. I hope he has learned his lesson not to fu*& with us and our exended family!

I have 6 people committed to the broadmoor Jun 15-16.  10 rooms is required for the group rate.  I can't press unless I get 10.

If I commit, I have to drop a $500 deposit and sign a contract for 10.  so if 10 don't show, I'm on the hook for those rooms.

So e-mail me or Laura (me:  admin@greyttimes.com)

The Antlers hotel, downtown CO Spgs is a good fallback.  Great place, close to a bazillion great eateries and bars... walking distance.  High class place, much cheaper than the Broadmoor.

That's plan B:  The Antlers  gimme 48 hours to nail it down.

@Tango9 @osc2 A man and his son go into Wally World to do some shopping. Little boy spies a young man with a 'Nike, Tiger Woods' shirt, "Dad, who is Tiger Woods"? "Oh, he's a rich, black guy that plays golf." They venture into the Sporting Goods Dept. and the kid sees a young man with a "Craft Chris Kyle Memorial" Shirt, kid asks, "Dad who is Chris Kyle", Dad replies as the tears form, "Son, Chris Kyle is an American Hero, SEAL sniper, and when he left the Navy he decided he would help those less fortunate people retuning from the war. Sadly, a very troubled young man took Chris' life. Son, you just remember Chris Kyle was a Hero and Never Forget".....6

Thank you and I appreciate the communication. When I was younger I had spoken to a few Seals on base and they were always cool. Never speaking anymore than they needed to but cool. When I met Ike, he was way cool. Although I couldn't get in to BUD/S he inspired me to be whatever the Hell I wanted outside the Navy, I eventually became a Trooper. But you know what I mean, there are those people you meet that stay with you Forever although the Friendship was brief.

Tango9

@osc2 I'm sorry (not just words) you lost your friend.  It always cuts deep and it stays open.  I know.

I don't know of any team 4 guys here, especially in that time frame.  Wish I could help more.

osc2
osc2 5pts

 @Tango9

I didn't mean that in a bad way. He wasn't a Seal yet.  As I said, from what I've gathered, he had barely gotten off of probabtion when he was killed. Maybe a week or two. But I hadn't talked to him since he left BUD/S. He was with Four.

Tango9

I met an outstanding young man back when I was 19 serving in San Diego. I got to know him briefly when he was going through BUD/S. I was working on my physical fitness to try to get into BUD/S only to find out that my eyesight was going to flush my dreams down the toilet. Anyway, I've always considered him my friend, kind of like a big brother. He was killed in Panama. This is the reason I follow the Teams and have the Upmost Respect for. I named my son after him.  Just thought I'd throw in another counterpoint. I will preface this by saing that I was not lucky enough to know Chris personally, but I do know someone that's known him very well since he was a kid.  I say that just to reference that I have some more objective thoughts that are based in part on my friends discussions with me.  Cutting to the chase, I think there is a difference between "romanticizing" (e.g. the person was perfect, which seemed to be what Taya was getting at...  They had challenges like any married couple) versus honoring - buying his book, sharing his book, sharing stories about him, wearing a shirt or patch from Craft, etc.  One way to look at Chris may be that he didn't like the spotlight, but was driven by the idea of creating awareness and using that awareness to take care of those that he love, honored and respected, his former teamates, our armed services and their families.  That was part of his legacy and what made him great.   I have to wonder why he wouldn't be honored if that legacy continued by someone wearing a shirt or patch with his name on it, which prompts an eventual conversation out there in the world that brings awareness to the sacrifices our military make and how we need to do better by them.

LOL at this convo, not disrespectfully. I feel the both of you. I am also a hat wearer and it's usually, a Cardinal hat ( because the Wizard was a bad MF), or ASU (family alumni). Back when I used to ride, before I totalled my Harley being a dumb ass, I never wore HD apparel. Not because I didn't like it, but because I don't need to advertise and look like a walking riding billboard. My own personal preference. I am a Vet as well, didn't accomplish what I wanted but I don't advertise there either, but am still Proud as Hell. Law Enforcement as well, but I don't advertise there, same reason, not to be a "stand out" when shit hits the fan somewhere. I do have pics and items up in my office, but that is for a friend and mentor lost in '89.

@Tango9  @Recon6 I ordered the shirt from 1791.com and will proudly wear it. IMO, it's the same (keep in mind, CK is WAY higher than a company) that I would wear a Fender or Gibson tee (I'm a musician and total Gibson fangirl). It would be my way of honoring Kyle. :) I'd love to be able to say how great he was if someone were to come to me and ask, "what does that shirt mean?" If the fit is good, I'll prob wear it to our next show.

    • In the IDF, 'Lonely Soldier' is a term that describes soldiers serving on active duty who have no family is Israel. These are volunteers that came to serve for 3-5 years. They typically go back to their respective countries upon completion. Most commonly, these are people who immigrated to Israel by themselves. I was one of them. While in Israel, I lived in an apartment building where the majority of people were lonely soldiers. It was located on the outer ring of Jerusalem, surrounded by four Arab villages. My roommates were two recon guys (like me) and one who worked in field intel. All of the other inhabitants were soldiers from various units, with most of them serving a combat role. It was a well known thing, especially to the Arabs in the village. Most of the time we wouldn't be there, but when we were on leave, we would come to the apartment for a little R&R. It was rare that the four of us were there at the same time, but once in a blue moon, it did happen. Each village had, as is customary, its own mosque. When the time for prayer came, the loudspeakers would call out to the faithful. It was OK, we were used to it. However, over the weekend they would make it a point to play the call to prayer very, and I mean VERY, loud. They knew soldiers would be in the building trying to get some sleep - recovering from several weeks in the field. This always annoyed me but there was nothing I could do. On this particular weekend, after an intense seven weeks of non-stop ops, all I wanted was to go to the apartment, sleep, eat, sleep some more and then sleep again. That weekend the four of us were at the apartment and we were all equally tired. We arrived Thursday night and after a small dinner and some beers, we went to sleep. At 0400 we all jumped.... The freaking loudspeakers at all four mosques began their call to prayer at full blast. Fuck.... We spent the remainder of the day trying to rest and every time we would fall asleep, again... The call for prayers, full blast! Over lunch, we all looked at each other and knew this had to stop. We came up with a plan. I know it wasn't nice, but at that point we couldn't care less about political correctness. Here's what we did. After some recon that night, we noticed that the call to prayer wasn't performed by an Imam or some other person with a microphone. It was a tape recorder that used a tape. We figured the four of us, experts in stealthy infils, could sneak in and steal those tapes. However, while we were planning the different infil routes for each village, we all smiled and did something better. We recorded Metallica's 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' on repeat on all four tapes and then waited till midnight. At midnight, each one of us - armed with a Metallica tape - headed to a different village. All dressed in black, we were careful not to be seen. We entered into the buildings and exchanged the tapes. We rallied back to the exfil point, a crossroad not far from the last village and headed back to our apartment. And then we waited... At 0350 we went to the roof with some coffee, opened some field chairs and waited for the show to begin. At 0400 sharp the first "call" came alive, full volume: Make his fight On the hill in the early day Constant chill deep inside ... Take a look To the sky Just before you die It's the last time he will Followed by the next, then the 3rd and 4th joined in. Full volume Metallica! Soon after, we heard sirens headed to the villages. I don't know what happened after that, but we had our own private concert, right there. No kidding, there I was... Metallica call to prayer
