About the Author

is poised to publish the first book detailing experiences of Marine special operators in Afghanistan. And unlike career writers who drop into an outpost for a quick embed, Golembesky was there, as a member of Marine Special Operations Team 8222 during one of its hardest deployments. He plans to tell the team’s story through the words of the operators on the ground. The working title is “Level Zero Heroes.”

I had the honor of composing some of the music for this series.  It means a lot to me, especially because I am still serving in the Reserves.  This is a great show - watching the first two episodes when they premiered really got my blood pumping filled me with a tremendous sense of pride for what I do as a composer, but even more so as a member of our nations military. I feel truly blessed to have provided the soundtrack that backs this incredible footage shot by our brothers (and sisters) in arms.

I wait until winter in the desert of hell, then I book it.I can't carry shit after the trauma. just light equipment and I'll be lucky to get back to 65 mile walks.
