OUTRAGE: Special Forces Soldiers Caught with Colombian Prostitutes

Yeah, it’s a damn outrage that this is even against the regs.  Guys wouldn’t join the Army if they thought that Uncle Sugar would come down on them over this sort of thing.  From the LA Times, “The Pentagon investigation is focusing on five Special Forces Army soldiers, two Marines, two Navy personnel and one member of the Air Force, a U.S. military official said.  The Navy and Air Force personnel are members of explosive detection unit, the official said.”

By the way, everyone is saying that our military and the Secret Service showed unprofessional behavior by consorting with hookers.  I agree, it’s completely unprofessional to refuse to pay the bill after services have been rendered.  Read this guys blog about prostitution in Colombia and get groovy with professional ethics, mmmmokay…

In spirit of showing up America’s culture of political correctness, enjoy the Colombian night life, on us boys.

Here is an interesting take on the whole situation, found over at Cryptome:

I think by the nature of the work that Secret Service and the military that they are entitled to a little free time recreation. The female whistle blower should have kept her mouth shut. You can't build yourself up by tearing some one else down. She will live to regret this choice. They did not violate the laws of Columbia. If these men are married then they have their wives to deal with. This whole thing is crap. Go after Wall Street criminals and crooked members of the House and Senate first.

SEAN SPOONTS
SEAN SPOONTS 5pts

I've done some joking on this subject but I want to say something serious on this matter.  I think we should be able to expect more virtue from these men.  They are public servants after all.  And I think that public servants should be just a little better than the average citizen, not a worse.  If there is anyone we should expect some measure of virtue from it ought to be our Service men and women and those in the law enforcement and protective branches of government.

@SEAN SPOONTS I concur however the example must be set by the elected leadership and I stated previously this is not being accomplished. When a congressman or Senator does this its quickly forgotten and they most often REMAIN in their privileged position. The idea that these folks might be outright terminated is misguided at best and criminal if their skills (that the taxpayer paid for at great expense) are not being utilized. Again I agree the standard should be higher and I believe that it is. I still don't feel that this should have been as "big" a story as it was.

BFD! Where is the crime? Prostitution is legal in Columbia. Why isn't congress going after Lehman Brothers and the rest of those Wall Street scumbags this aggressively? They committed real crimes. Not one of those bastards is in jail yet.

This was a set up and now we know the meat of this side show.  "The White Male purged from the Secret Service"

http://teapartytribune.com/2012/04/22/the-white-male-from-within-the-secret-service-2/I tire of our troops being set up for failure and everyone takes the set bait and runs with it no matter who's lives they ruin.

The Secret Service dudes were out partying the night before JFK got killed in Dallas. Did any of those guys get fired?

SEAL76
SEAL76 5pts

Better looking than any hookers we got in  RVN. WTF! Soldiers, Sailors, Airmem, Marines getting laid by hookers is not news nor is it a scandal.Military and Naval personnel partying with hookers is  is a story so old that Ceasar Augustus and Alexander the Great knew about it. Tempest in a Teapot. If Obama cared about his Secret Service and his Armed Forces he would have had their backs and told the supervisors to STFU. He would have had his spin doctors all over this. I have to say the Secret Service guys are cheap bastards.

LOL And could I just point out how lame these guys are when it comes to having "Game?" They are Americans,...with the Secret Service,....they make good bank.... and the BEST they can do with that is score hookers that give change for a $50?

Thanks for the pictures, Jack. I'm a visual type learner and this helps tell the story. My take, these girls are worth it. If Venezuela or Iran are involved, we should put an end to it, because now it's personal, geopolitics aside, you don't fuck with a man's ability to get laid in the tropics, you just don't--the Russians never did it. The tropics is an open field, they've just crossed a line here.

I have stayed at that exact hotel many years ago and it is an awsome place. They have cabanas on the beach and when the swell is right the surf is good, not great but good. Yes, the women there are drop dead, and it is very hard to maintain discipline knocking back a few cold ones with the guys at the bar while Ms. Columbia is giving you love eyes. These guys were not sailors on liberty, they were there to do a job and they took a risk and got caught. Now it's time to pony up and pay the man. .

LCpl X
LCpl X 5pts like.author.displayName 1 Like

 @Erek

I agree with your sentiments, man. They got caught, when the name of the game is not to get caught, like Nathal Hale's MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT I HAVE BUT ONE LIFE TO GIVE, no fuckin' shit. But how about for the rest of us non-rates?

There are obvious clues that this was a set up, whether hatched by Colombian authorities or Venezuelan/Iranians. It couldn't have been a misunderstanding in payment. If there were only 2 or 3 of these HOT girls with the 21 guys, then yeah a misunderstanding in payment, but they were all gentlemanly and puritan and took one for each, instead of partaking in less girls or more girls (which in and of itself is a form of team building, orgy or train).

There's definitely foul play here, whether the guys are fired or simply punished, I really don't care, I'm part of the me generation.

The best course of action would involve twisting Colombia's arm, via all the taxpayer billions we pay or otherwise, to get them to find the head(s) of this little operation. The message should be the US doesn't do honeytrap, we may be puritans, but the fact that our boys can't even have porn in the sand, means our boys will have, will have, fun in the tropics--this should be a gurantee, short of paper this is what my recruiter promised me.

Yeah, you're right very true on Mormons in the CIA, man.

I think this was in one of Baer's books about an East Asia Division CIA officer getting burned by his Mormon manager for brining a prostitute to a safe house.

Apparently the best bang for the buck assets, especially in Asia, are prostitutes (taxi drivers a close second). But Mormon guy thought otherwise.

I guess the Mormon guy, coming from a pristine holier than thou background, decided CIA and prostitutes were a bad mix, so he fired the guy (or sent him home to work in the basement right next to the old gym).

How about this. Th elite guarding the POTUS should have had the brains to pay up to keep this out of the press and bring ZERO attention to themselves. Thinking they were above the law in a foreign country is a bone headed move. These girls wouldnt have cared if he was Bob the Builder or Pres Obama himself, they were just in it for money, its their legal job. Presendential detail, part of the job is bring ZERO attention of this kind to the mission. It wasnt Full Metal Jackets hooker scene, they were Presedential Detail.

Not necessarily, man. Honeytrap is a pretty wide concept, not just for spies. So there's many angles from which to play and set the honeytrap.

The oldest recorded honeytrap was when Sarah told her husband Abraham to sleep with their maid, I'm sure Sarah got Abraham by the balls after that. But honeytraps are used by junior high girls also by employing their friends to trap their bf's, they probably got this from Disney channel (the shows today are fucking nuts). If your gf takes you to a college lingerie party, it doesn't necessarily mean she's presenting you with an orgy, porn and regular life sometimes get blurred, but that's a honeytrap.

This could very well be the goal, negative PR. We can keep on apologizing, or we can push our gov't to keep it real, to use contemporary black parlance, put these countries we're constantly apologizing over on blast--point the finger at them, you guys are more fucked up, way more fucked up, than we can ever be. Hang that over their heads, you guys want honeytraps, stand the fuck by!!! Nip this in the bud.

@HugeFan  @LCpl I doubt this was a honey trap.  If it was, than the people running it turned it into a total cluster fuck.  The idea of the honey trap is that you get leverage over someone and use it to turn them into an asset.  If you blow the story out into the public than your leverage is lost and you have no asset.  As far as embaressing America as a goal...I don't think so.  This will have zero strategic or geo-political impact on international or domestic politics.  It's just another fuck up that will fade away after a week or two.

    • In the IDF, 'Lonely Soldier' is a term that describes soldiers serving on active duty who have no family is Israel. These are volunteers that came to serve for 3-5 years. They typically go back to their respective countries upon completion. Most commonly, these are people who immigrated to Israel by themselves. I was one of them. While in Israel, I lived in an apartment building where the majority of people were lonely soldiers. It was located on the outer ring of Jerusalem, surrounded by four Arab villages. My roommates were two recon guys (like me) and one who worked in field intel. All of the other inhabitants were soldiers from various units, with most of them serving a combat role. It was a well known thing, especially to the Arabs in the village. Most of the time we wouldn't be there, but when we were on leave, we would come to the apartment for a little R&R. It was rare that the four of us were there at the same time, but once in a blue moon, it did happen. Each village had, as is customary, its own mosque. When the time for prayer came, the loudspeakers would call out to the faithful. It was OK, we were used to it. However, over the weekend they would make it a point to play the call to prayer very, and I mean VERY, loud. They knew soldiers would be in the building trying to get some sleep - recovering from several weeks in the field. This always annoyed me but there was nothing I could do. On this particular weekend, after an intense seven weeks of non-stop ops, all I wanted was to go to the apartment, sleep, eat, sleep some more and then sleep again. That weekend the four of us were at the apartment and we were all equally tired. We arrived Thursday night and after a small dinner and some beers, we went to sleep. At 0400 we all jumped.... The freaking loudspeakers at all four mosques began their call to prayer at full blast. Fuck.... We spent the remainder of the day trying to rest and every time we would fall asleep, again... The call for prayers, full blast! Over lunch, we all looked at each other and knew this had to stop. We came up with a plan. I know it wasn't nice, but at that point we couldn't care less about political correctness. Here's what we did. After some recon that night, we noticed that the call to prayer wasn't performed by an Imam or some other person with a microphone. It was a tape recorder that used a tape. We figured the four of us, experts in stealthy infils, could sneak in and steal those tapes. However, while we were planning the different infil routes for each village, we all smiled and did something better. We recorded Metallica's 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' on repeat on all four tapes and then waited till midnight. At midnight, each one of us - armed with a Metallica tape - headed to a different village. All dressed in black, we were careful not to be seen. We entered into the buildings and exchanged the tapes. We rallied back to the exfil point, a crossroad not far from the last village and headed back to our apartment. And then we waited... At 0350 we went to the roof with some coffee, opened some field chairs and waited for the show to begin. At 0400 sharp the first "call" came alive, full volume: Make his fight On the hill in the early day Constant chill deep inside ... Take a look To the sky Just before you die It's the last time he will Followed by the next, then the 3rd and 4th joined in. Full volume Metallica! Soon after, we heard sirens headed to the villages. I don't know what happened after that, but we had our own private concert, right there. No kidding, there I was... Metallica call to prayer

No Kidding There I Was… Metallica Call to Prayer
