German SOF: Kommando Spezialkräfte (KSK)

I wish H&K weapons are more affordable (Civilian versions). I think H&K G36 Civilian version is available in USA but it was at $3,500! For $3,500 you can buy a whole lot of other quality firearms.

Wow that was some of the best transcribed audio I've ever seen on a foreign special op video. Its normally complete shit and I have to stop a few minutes in but this as freaking fantastic. There is something about foreign special forces that draws you in. I think its because we know nothing about them so the mystery is still present. But yeah great video and I'm still freaking shocked it said the KSK haven't lost a single member yet. The only group I know of with that track record is the Alamo Scouts.

See?  Interacting with foreign cultures is a wonderful experience that broadens the mind.  But seriously, we tend to think in terms of the US and its largest allies but there are tens of smaller countries with their own special mission units getting into the fight.  Actually, it would be cool if we could see some info on the SOFs some of the lesser-known countries, ones that aren't generally known for kicking down doors.  I was reading on Wikipedia about the Lebanese SEALs the other day; wonder if they've changed at all since we helped stand them up.

Ok, that training exercise looks like loads of fun!  My guess is these KSK fellows enjoy similar training funding to our USN Seal teams.

I've often wondered, besides watching this footage, if the KSK have explored other weapon system options besides the G36 assault rifle.  It seems to be an awfully large weapons system for operators as opposed to the HK416, also produced by Heckler & Koch.  I observed the entry team members negotiating the stairwells as they were moving upstairs and within proximity of each other and I was getting the impression that the G36 had quite a bit of length for close quarter engagements.  Any thoughts from anyone?
