Congressional candidate and “progressive Democrat” (still trying to figure out what that means), Ken Aden, embelished a bit and told people during an interview that he was,  “you know, Green Berets, Special Forces…”.

It’s nice to see that citizens are policing up these punch bowl turds (e.g. these guys stick out like a turd in a punch bowl to SOF vets) and finally producing some consequences.

If you didn’t do the push ups and suffer selection then best shut your mouth or we will find you and out you regardless of if you served or not.

Watch below 1:49 is where the fun starts…

From ABC News

A candidate for the United States Congress has dropped out of his race in the wake of reports that he lied about his military record, specifically that he was a soldier in the Army’s Special Forces when he never completed the necessary training.

Ken Aden, the Democratic nominee to represent Arkansas’ Third Congressional District, said in a statement Monday that the questions raised regarding his record created a “tremendous distraction” for his campaign and that he was withdrawing from the race.

Aden, whose military records show was active in the Army for more than 10 years before being honorably discharged in December 2010, campaigned as having been a member of the world-renown Green Berets, saying in one interview posted on YouTube in February, “I finished up my time, my tour of duty, with, um, you know, Green Berets, Special Forces….

This get's so much better:

Press Release 12 July 2012 Subject: Fake Green Beret Sues Military Heroes to Silence Their Criticism. On June 11th 2012 a Colorado man, John Giduck, filed a SLAPP lawsuit in an effort to censor, intimidate and silence veterans by burdening them with the cost of a legal defense until they abandon their criticism of him. (SLAPP: "Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation."). Ironically, Mr. Giduck is suing some of the same veterans who exposed congressional candidate Ken Aden (Arkansas, 3d District) for his false claims as a Special Forces Soldier (http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/congressional-candidate-drops-special-forces-fib/story?id=16749085#.T_9KOXCXJUU). The veterans, several of whom are decorated special operations personnel, questioned Mr. Giduck's claims to be a "Green Beret" and a "former Army Ranger." Mr. Giduck has made such false claims repeatedly in promotional materials for law enforcement and military seminars. This link has a timeline of Mr. Giduck's various activities and examples of his false biographical information uncovered on the web: http://www.socnet.com/showthread.php?t=108706. In these seminars, Mr Giduck advocates tactics, techniques and procedures that the veterans find to be fundamentally unsound and dangerous. Among them are: --Installing knock-out gas delivery systems in public schools; --Deploying armed teams of former Special Operations personnel in public schools as opposed to local law enforcement; --Employing fire hoses to neutralize heavily-armed terrorists holding student hostages. Mr. Giduck previously threatened veterans that he perceived as threats to his credibility, and he resorted to bullying legal tactics. As a response to Mr. Giduck's bullying, veterans investigated his background and learned the following: 1. Mr. Giduck has been a practicing attorney in Colorado. One of his clients was Mrs. Donna Yaklich, a woman accused--and later convicted--of murdering her husband, a Pueblo PD Police Officer. Mr. Giduck had an affair with her after her husband’s death, and enjoyed a Caribbean holiday with her that was subsidized by her husband's death benefits. Mr. Giduck's legal fees were also paid from Dennis Yaklich's death benefits. After the Pueblo PD issued a warrant for her arrest, Mrs. Yaklich returned, turned herself in, and retained better counsel after Mr. Giduck was forced to recuse himself from the case. 2. Despite multiple instances where Mr. Giduck claims a background in "Special Forces" or as an "Army Ranger," Mr. Giduck never served in the military. He actually enlisted in the Army and failed out of basic training after 58 days; yet, over the course of years, allowed claims of him being a Special Forces Soldier to be publicly posted on advertising material and his very own website. Further, Mr. Giduck's credentials as a "terrorism expert" are thin. Mr. Giduck has no practical experience or formal training in counter-terrorism aside from a recent PhD. earned from a reputable university. Mr. Giduck's books have been derided by academic reviewers and genuine specialists in counter-terrorism. 3. Mr. Giduck publicly claims that he trained with the Russian Special Forces, known as Spetsnaz, and that he has connections to the FSB. The Russian FSB is the successor to the KGB from the Soviet era. Spetsnaz is a branch of the Russian GRU, the equivalent of our Defense Intelligence Agency. This claim alarmed those veterans who are still in government service. Personnel with active security clearances are required to report contact with such persons to their security and counter-intelligence sections. This obligation is mandatory, not optional. Additional information is available: http://www.socnet.com/showthread.php?t=107621 http://thetruthaboutsocnetlies.wordpress.com/

This Ain't Hell outed this douche a few months back.  The fakers that never served, the SEAL/Ranger/Space Shuttle Door Gunner types that live in their mom's basement... you sort of 2% feel sorry for them because they're just sad.

The people that actually wore a uniform and then decided to add a few medals, tabs, berets, thinking no one would notice?  Those fuckers are scum.

I wouldn't get too hung up on the re-labeling that Liberals try to engage in. The reason they are constantly changing their label from "Democrat" to "Liberal" to "Progressive" to "Pragmatic" to "Common Sense" to "Progressive Democrat" ad nauseum is that they don't really want you to know what they really stand for. Their lable means whatever they want it to mean and it's also a cover to duck out from whatever you think they might be. Generally and politically speaking, a "Progressive" was won who believed in the progressive march of history towards a perfected Socialism for mankind. They believe that experiments in Socialism will be tried and most will fail. The lessons of those failures will be reapplied to new forms of socialism until a perfect form is attained. If you ever wonder why liberals always seem to favor statist, socialist programs when the past failures of such policies are so obvious, there's your answer. Liberals cannot 'learn' that socialism doesn't work because these failures aren't true socialism because if it were then it would work perfectly. That's why they can't see the systemic problems with social programs and instead just propose throwing more money at them. The answer is always "More Cowbell." As for the lies about his military service, don't be surprised. It's characteristic of the breed that a lie told to serve a noble end(his own election in this case) is excusable. The ends justifies the means as the saying goes. The Left waved away the massacres and purges of Stalin by famously saying "You gotta break some eggs to make an omelette." His whole interview was full of lies and half truths. Did you catch the part about a DOE study saying that windmills could provide Arkansas with 1/3 of its electric power? At what cost per kilowatt? That's the big lie of "Green Energy," It's four times as expensive to generate the same power as coal or oil after a huge outlay in infrastructure. You could power Arkasas completely with hydro power if you built enough hugely expensive dams, your electric bill would be 5-6 times what it is right now. You could use diamonds to generate electricity if you really wanted to, you just couldn't afford to turn on a light. I also liked his idea about bringing jobs to Arkansas by aligning himself against the very corporations that provide jobs to people in Arkansas. You could tell he really thought hard on that one. Everytime the government passes a new regulation against businesses and corporations the cost of complying with that regulation is money out of YOUR salary, profit sharing or hourly wage if you work for them, and it raises the cost of goods produced if you are their customer. It is said that the cost of compliance with government regulation is $1.6 trillion a year right now. About ten percent of our entire GDP. Wait til they get a hold of healthcare.

Actually....

A "Progressive Democrat" in the American political vernacular is one who picked up the mantle of the the Progressive Movement which began in the late 19th and early 20th Century.  These folks believe in advancing every social and economic concept contrary to conservative ideology.  The movement sprung forth from residents tenet housing and settlements who were indeed greatly disadvantaged by the Industrial Revolution.  Basically, they were the "have nots" who wanted to re-distribute wealth rather than work to obtain and create wealth.

The Irish and other European Progressives were off-shoots of the movement.

Last year, while still on Fox News at 5PM, Glen Beck devoted a week to the history of the Progressive Movement.  It was very enlightening.  And, I think Glen Beck tends to get way off on a tangent at times, but, this production was excellent.

@JMattHicks Oooooo, a little socioeconomic philosophy? Yeah that dude's brain-to-mouth filter went in-op. I could even tell the later (as his speech seemed to pick up which indicated nervousness to me) he was thinking "Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit!". He had to know that he was going down because he INSTANTLY dropped out. That's awesome... <The Beatles> Naa-naa-naa-naa na! Hey, hey, hey... Goodbye...

@JMattHicks American history, awesome. If you want to really crawl through the "dark side" check out Thorstein Veblin. Pretty interesting and potentially scary at the same time. In fact, check out Robert Heilbroner (deceased) of the New School for Social Research. I am presuming that you haven't already done so; not out of arrogance but just because I really love Political Economic thought and theory and am always trying to drag people down the bunny hole with me! LOL. Don't understand all of it (there are some pretty high brow concepts there for this knuckle-dragger) but still love to try!

Well, good thing the truth came out before hand. The guy sounds good platform wise, and would've had my vote most likely if I lived in that district after some more research. That's the kind of representation we need except someone who don't tell freaking lies every other statement coming out of their mouth. Of course, there aren't that many vets who would want to run for office nowadays anyway. Hell, I won't.

Here's an idea. @BrandonWebb , Jack M., Chris Kyle, and all the editors on here run for an office! haha

    • In the IDF, 'Lonely Soldier' is a term that describes soldiers serving on active duty who have no family is Israel. These are volunteers that came to serve for 3-5 years. They typically go back to their respective countries upon completion. Most commonly, these are people who immigrated to Israel by themselves. I was one of them. While in Israel, I lived in an apartment building where the majority of people were lonely soldiers. It was located on the outer ring of Jerusalem, surrounded by four Arab villages. My roommates were two recon guys (like me) and one who worked in field intel. All of the other inhabitants were soldiers from various units, with most of them serving a combat role. It was a well known thing, especially to the Arabs in the village. Most of the time we wouldn't be there, but when we were on leave, we would come to the apartment for a little R&R. It was rare that the four of us were there at the same time, but once in a blue moon, it did happen. Each village had, as is customary, its own mosque. When the time for prayer came, the loudspeakers would call out to the faithful. It was OK, we were used to it. However, over the weekend they would make it a point to play the call to prayer very, and I mean VERY, loud. They knew soldiers would be in the building trying to get some sleep - recovering from several weeks in the field. This always annoyed me but there was nothing I could do. On this particular weekend, after an intense seven weeks of non-stop ops, all I wanted was to go to the apartment, sleep, eat, sleep some more and then sleep again. That weekend the four of us were at the apartment and we were all equally tired. We arrived Thursday night and after a small dinner and some beers, we went to sleep. At 0400 we all jumped.... The freaking loudspeakers at all four mosques began their call to prayer at full blast. Fuck.... We spent the remainder of the day trying to rest and every time we would fall asleep, again... The call for prayers, full blast! Over lunch, we all looked at each other and knew this had to stop. We came up with a plan. I know it wasn't nice, but at that point we couldn't care less about political correctness. Here's what we did. After some recon that night, we noticed that the call to prayer wasn't performed by an Imam or some other person with a microphone. It was a tape recorder that used a tape. We figured the four of us, experts in stealthy infils, could sneak in and steal those tapes. However, while we were planning the different infil routes for each village, we all smiled and did something better. We recorded Metallica's 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' on repeat on all four tapes and then waited till midnight. At midnight, each one of us - armed with a Metallica tape - headed to a different village. All dressed in black, we were careful not to be seen. We entered into the buildings and exchanged the tapes. We rallied back to the exfil point, a crossroad not far from the last village and headed back to our apartment. And then we waited... At 0350 we went to the roof with some coffee, opened some field chairs and waited for the show to begin. At 0400 sharp the first "call" came alive, full volume: Make his fight On the hill in the early day Constant chill deep inside ... Take a look To the sky Just before you die It's the last time he will Followed by the next, then the 3rd and 4th joined in. Full volume Metallica! Soon after, we heard sirens headed to the villages. I don't know what happened after that, but we had our own private concert, right there. No kidding, there I was... Metallica call to prayer
