Took me forever but I found 10th Group in there Winter Cammi's from the 90s, knew I wasnt imagining seeing them in them up in Alaska

@rozhbash 10-4. I ran into an element up at Hatcher Pass back in 96 or 97 ???? wearing them. Was a "quiet" gore tex, a lot better then the over whites we had.
In all my years in the Army, I count my time at 1/10SF my favorite. My only regret is that I arrived literally days after they moved to Panzer - no Bad Toelz for me.
@rozhbash 1/10thm guys train with our guys on a regular basis. My friends praise working with them.

@JackMurphyRGR can you suggest any modern reading material regarding Army SF? Dozens of SEAL books mentioned on the site but only less than a handful regarding SF mentioned.
@stx Aside from Scott Zastrow's fictional account of Afghanistan I can't think of one off the top of my head. I'm sure there are some good ones, I just haven't read them. Perhaps the above recommendations are a good place to start.
@TobinFrost @JackMurphyRGR Dick Couch's Chosen Soldier and Linda Robinson's Masters of Chaos are both good books

I spent 1983-1986 at Signal Co, 10th SFG(A), Ft. Devens, MA. Good times, Great People. Great job on the History.

Awesome, saw them a few times up North. At 7:05 I think that is there home grown snow camo, kind of like a Woodland BDU pattern with white,grey and a puke green/piss yellow. Everyone else had overwhites, not them, even cool toys in the snow. Looks like now Africa is there playground now.
@JackMurphyRGR I'm under the impression that 3rd Group has stomped a lot of skulls in Afghanistan.
@LaRoux I believe the plan is to prepare for the worst case scenario in the Central Asian States so the 3rd will most likely stay.
@JackMurphyRGR @Connor31 When the war in Afghanistan dies down(if it ever does) will 3rd go back to Africa or is it a permanent move to Central Asia?
