Finally! I voted multiple times to see more about CCTs so i'm glad the staff is listening! Now if only we could keep this going. My life dream is to be a CCT someday and the more information i can get, the better!
Seems like such a cool job. Hell of a long pipeline and I'm sure there are some boring parts but being able to call in all that firepower is awesome.
@LaRoux I spun this out for ehow a couple years ago:http://www.ehow.com/about_6373826_combat-control-training.html
Very cool. Those guys seem to be pretty dialed in. "No Room For Error; The Story Behind The USAF Special Tactical Unit" by Col. John Carney and Benjamin F. Schemmer is a very good primer on how these units were originally formed and how their doctrine evolved.
@BrandonTWebb I was in the USAF. Other services called us pussies. lol I guess they never met a PJ or CAC
Step 1: Unfold lawn chair
Step 2: Open igloo full of beer.
Step 3: Watch fireworks show with large smile on face.....like now........:)
Great video by the way BW
Cool representation of seeing the delay from when the bomb hit to when they actually hear it. What was that flatulence sounding noise coming from the A10?? Couldn't tell if that was the 30mm or not.
Did my gold wing jump with those guys in 1994. Actually, a lot of Recon Marines go that route after EAS. Bigger budget. :^) @BrandonTWebb
