The original MEU(SOC) 1911 were assembled by the Marine Corps Precision Weapons Shop from match grade parts from various manufacturers. With the current higher quantity demands, the Marine Corps is looking for a suitable off-the-shelf replacement.
The Glock 19 is a compact 9mm semi-automatic pistol. Glocks are known for their durability and reliability.
The FN SCAR Heavy is an assualt rifle chambered in 7.62mm. It is part of the Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle (SCAR) family of weapons.
The M40A5 is a bolt action sniper rifle chambered in 7.62mm and is built with a Remington 700 action and utilizes a McMillan fiberglass stock. These rifles are built with parts from various manufacturers by Marine Corps armorers.
