Following an informal 15-6 investigation Colonel Vanek, the Regimental Commander of the 75th Ranger Regiment, has been given a general order of reprimand which will follow him throughout the rest of his career. An Army spokesman said that the investigation looked into issues concerning, “command climate, perception, and judgement.” Meanwhile, the Army is not commenting on what the general order of reprimand regards but the insider baseball in the Regiment is that Colonel Vanek was reprimanded for misappropriation of military funds to fly himself and his family around on the tax payer’s dime.

Hmmm..... I wonder how much it costs to fly a private 747, a C-17 full of cars and stuff, and an entourage of hundreds to Florida to play golf with Tiger Woods? Oh well, I guess if you're the boss, we that pay taxes are not supposed to care. If given a choice, I'd rather fly the Colonel and his family around.
Ouch. Good know my tax dollars are going to such a worthy cause. Not.
Ever notice its the small stuff that trips up people. In comparison to the cost of Space-A or Southwest Airlines how much did he really save? If you go, go out big. Like with all of Sadam's gold or something, not saving a few bucks and not earning flight miles. lol Well private sector pay raise here he comes.
