I often get asked what is the best track to get into the CIA after military service. It’s important to know the different departments in the agency and what they do. You can do a little research at CIA.gov under their careers section. The agency’s fabric is weaved into specific areas of expertise. If there are current openings in these offices or divisions, don’t hesitate and apply.
Contrary to popular belief, the agency will employ those who lack experience in specific areas if you maintain a high standard of integrity, discipline, athleticism, smarts, etc. My advice is to look at all the departments inside the agency and determine which is most compelling to you and where you can be most beinificial. The agency has recruiters like all businesses, so that’s where I’d start. Happy hunting.
