Police are on the hunt for a single gunman that shot five people in Maryland this morning, killing three.
Law enforcement believes Radee Labeeb Prince, 37, opened fire at employees of Advanced Granite Solutions at the Emmorton Business Park in Edgewood, Maryland just before 9 am local time. Officers arrived just four minutes later, but were unable to apprehend the subject. Three of the victims were killed, with two others rushed to a local hospital where they are both currently listed in critical condition.
“We do not believe there’s an immediate threat to the community — we do believe that this was targeted, with the qualifier that there is an armed and dangerous suspect out there,” Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler told reporters. “There’s an individual out there on the loose who committed one of the most heinous acts we’ve ever seen in our county. Certainly we consider him armed and dangerous.”
Authorities believe Prince escaped the scene of the shooting in a black 2008 GMC Acadia with the Delaware license plate PC064273. He remains at large and police warn that he should not be approached. If anyone sees Prince, they should immediately call 911.
State helicopters are in the air and State Troopers are on the ground from multiple barracks,” Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan posted to Facebook. “I ask all citizens – especially those in this area – to please remain vigilant, and if you think you may have any information about this terrible crime, please call 911 immediately.”
Prince reportedly entered the building and opened fire using a semi-automatic handgun. The owner of Advanced Granite Solutions reportedly told the Associated Press that Prince has been an employee of the company for four months, and worked as a machine operator. According to the AP, the owner, Barak Caba, was quite shaken by the news, and could offer no further details.
One witness that was also in the business park at the time of the shooting said he believed he heard yelling, shouting, and arguing leading up the incident. According to Gahler, Prince does have a criminal record, but the time of the press conference, he was not privy to his arrest history.
The search for Radee Labeeb Prince is ongoing, and SOFREP will provide updates as they surface.
This is the vehicle Prince is believed to be driving, once again, with the lisence plate, PC064273. If you believe you see Prince, do not approach him, and call law enforcement as soon as you can safely do so.
