FBI confirm a person of interest was taken into custody in connection to the Air Force recruiting office explosion

Bixby, Oklahoma – The FBI confirmed they have taken a person of interest into custody who might be connected to the explosion outside of the Air Force recruiting office on Monday night. Local news reported the FBI took the person into custody from an apartment complex located in south Tulsa. The Tulsa bomb squad was also on scene. The identity of the person of interest has not been released yet. The FBI has not confirmed what type of explosive device was used. They also indicated the incident is being considered a criminal investigation and not domestic terrorism.

Special Agent Jessi Rice said Tuesday that the blast in the Tulsa suburb of Bixby is not being called terrorism because investigators have not determined a motive and have not identified the suspect.” –KJRH
