Award-winning cartoonist Bob Lang has returned to SOFREP, and we couldn’t be more pleased.
Bob’s offering today channels the ghost of the great Theodore Roosevelt, placing him on a gunboat in the Panama Canal, clearly stating that ole’ TR’s policy is firmly in line with Trump’s.
Lang’s visual wit draws a straight line from Roosevelt’s imperial swagger to contemporary American force projection.
Lest I overexplain, it’s a sharp, satirical take on Trump-era naval posturing and hints at echoes of gunboat diplomacy.

Lang’s upbringing on a family farm in Indiana provided rich inspiration for his cartoons, especially those focused on rural and agricultural life. In 2007, he created “Corn Time,” a cartoon series aimed at bringing humor to farmers, ranchers, and others involved in agriculture, as well as urban readers.
His cartoons are regularly featured in farm publications such as The Farmer’s Exchange, The Progressive Dairyman, Agri-View, and Cooperative Farming News.
Bob is recognized for his ability to blend humor with insightful commentary on political and agricultural issues, making his work popular both locally and nationally.
