With cold temperatures coming down upon us in most parts of the country, it’s time to start thinking about ways to manage the cold in case of emergency. While many of us have a basic emergency kit in our vehicles, it’s good to have a box (I use a milk crate) kept in the vehicle with seasonal emergency gear. Extra water and food (double water in the summer), compact survival blanket and other items can go a long way to increasing both comfort and survivability when the mercury drops.
