The Pentagon just confirmed that three service members have died. It was previously reported that one device member was killed and two were critically wounded. According to the Washington Post, the two critically wounded service members died after being airlifted to a medical facility in Jordan.

According to Military Times, US defense officials confirmed the incident and initial reports were incorrect. There was only one US service member killed and two were critically wounded.

One U.S. servicemember was killed and two others were critically injured on Friday in an exchange of gunfire at the gates of an air base in southern Jordan, U.S. defense officials said.
Reports earlier Friday morning that two service members were killed were inaccurate, a U.S. defense official said. – Military Times
According to multiple Arab news agencies, two ‘US trainers” were killed and a third was wounded in Jordan. A Jordanian officer was also wounded in the incident. CBS News stated the incident occurred after a car carrying the Americans failed to stop at the gate of the Prince Faisal Air Base in al Jafar, Jordan. The Americans and a Jordanian officer were reportedly shot in an exchange of gunfire with gate security.
“There was an exchange of fire at the entrance to the base after an attempt by the trainers’ vehicle to enter the gate without heeding orders of the guards to stop,” the military source told Reuters news agency.- al Jazeera
