Joint Base Andrews on lockdown: Possible active shooter

Latest Update:  The active shooter was a false alarm. The base has now been given the all clear. Read this article for a timeline.


According to Joint Base Andrew’s twitter page, there were reports of a possibly an active shooter this morning. JBA was scheduled for a routine active shooter drill this morning, however, reports of a real active shooter were called in. A man has barricaded himself on the third floor of the Malcolm Grow Medical Facility. officials stated that no shots have been fired. JBA has given the all clear except for the medical center. More details to follow.
