Large truck drives into a crowded Christmas market in Berlin, multiple fatalities and injuries reported

A large truck drove through a crowded Berlin Christmas market leaving several injured and multiple fatalities. The number of fatalities and injured are unknown at this time. Ambulances are still responding to the scene. Some reports have stated that the truck was driving at least 40 mph as it drove through the market.  Earlier this year there was a similar terrorist attack in Nice, France on Bastille Day. The status of the driver is unknown at this time. SOFREP will update this article as more information is known.


Update 3:23pm EST:

9 people have been killed and 50 wounded in the incident. Police have not released any information the driver yet.


Update 3:50pm EST:

The driver has been arrest and a passenger died on scene. Translation of the tweet below: “The police confirmed that an inmate, presumably the driver was arrested. A second occupant of the truck died at the scene.”
