Watch: The long term side effects of war- Starvation and famine

Starvation and famine are often the long term side effects of war. In the video below, you can see this in effect for Yemen. The Saudi-led coalition has blocked supplies into Yemen causing slow and painful deaths for thousands of people, especially children. Most of the shipping ports that accept food shipments have been either shut down, bombed, or controlled by militants. Farms have laid off workers and no longer function. Food is scarce and very expensive, which means the poorer families are being hit the hardest. Fuel and medicine are also effected which means limited care at area hospitals. One of the doctors said in the video, “If you don’t die from an airstrike, you die from an illness or starvation.”
