London was the scene of another terrorist attack on Friday as an early morning rush-hour blast caused by an improvised explosive device in the subway injured 22 people. The London’s Metropolitan Police and the British government (MI5) are treating this as a terrorist attack.

The blast occurred during the most demanding time of the morning commute at 8:20 a.m. local time (3:20 a.m. ET) in one of the busiest commuter lines in London’s Underground. However, in a bit of good news, none of the injured are thought to be in a serious or life-threatening condition, according to the London Ambulance Service.

A British security source who has been briefed on the investigation told CNN that a timer was found on the device. It’s clear the device was intended to cause much greater damage, the source said, but cautioned that the investigation is still in its preliminary stages.

Downing Street tweeted a message from Prime Minister Theresa May, saying: “My thoughts are with those injured at Parsons Green and emergency services who are responding bravely to this terrorist incident.”

London Mayor Sadiq Khan said he was coordinating with the police and government and urged Londoners to “remain calm and vigilant.”

“Our city utterly condemns the hideous individuals who attempt to use terror to harm us and destroy our way of life,” he said. “As London has proven again and again, we will never be intimidated or defeated by terrorism.”

The Metropolitan Police and MI5 are asking that anyone with any information on or with video and images from the scene, please forward those to the authorities. England has been hit with a number of terrorist incidents this year, with three in London and another in Manchester.
