Big Mountain Heroes Q&A
Feb 6, 2018“Big Mountain Heroes” is a unique documentary film about four special operations veterans pursuing internal peace through adrenaline and comradery; rather than falling prey to the vices and self-harm embraced by so many within the veteran community. That mindset, encapsulated in the motto, “thrills not pills,” led these war fighters to the mountains outside of Chamonix, France. Where these men sought adventure, they found meaning, and this film aims to help other veterans do the same.
Former Army Ranger Isaiah Burkhart, former Army Sniper Neil Betts, and former Army Ranger Leo Jenkins, three of the four stars of the documentary, took the time to answer audience questions about the film, and about their personal experiences, at the premier of “Big Mountain Heroes” at the Tower Theater in Bend, Oregon in December of 2017.
