There are rifles you buy to shoot, and then there are rifles you buy because they represent something bigger.
Barrett’s America’s 250th Rifle Series manages to do both, without compromise.
This is a limited run of just 500 rifles. Two platforms. Two names that carry weight: Freedom and Liberty. Barrett calls it “Two .50s for 250,” a direct nod to America’s 250th anniversary, built around the rifles that defined the company and still dominate the long-range conversation.
These aren’t safe queens by design. They just happen to be collectible.
Two Rifles, Two Symbols
The series splits clean down the middle.
On one side, 250 twenty-inch M107A1 rifles, serialized FREEDOM001 through FREEDOM250. Each carries a subdued 1776 American flag Cerakote finish, understated but unmistakable.
On the other, 250 twenty-inch Model 82A1 rifles, serialized LIBERTY001 through LIBERTY250, finished with the “Join or Die” snake, Benjamin Franklin’s original 1754 call for unity, now stamped onto one of the most recognizable rifles on the planet.
Both rifles are pure Barrett. Heavy, deliberate, and built to deliver authority at distance. Nothing gimmicky, nothing softened. Just two proven platforms wrapped in something that carries meaning.

A Complete, Serialized Package
Barrett didn’t build this as just a rifle. Each one ships as a matched, serialized set.
That includes an RMJ Tactical tomahawk paired specifically to the platform, the Patriot Tomahawk with the Model 82A1, and the Kestrel Tomahawk with the M107A1. Add in a matching challenge coin, a certificate of authenticity bearing the signature of founder Ronnie Barrett, and a custom Pelican case designed to display the rifle fully assembled.
Open the case, and you’re not looking at a box of parts. You’re looking at a finished piece.
For collectors, that detail matters. For shooters, it doesn’t take anything away from what the rifle is capable of doing.
Limited Means Limited
Five hundred rifles total. That’s the ceiling.
Two additional matched sets, LIBERTY1776/FREEDOM1776 and LIBERTY2026/FREEDOM2026, will be auctioned through GunBroker, and those will likely disappear fast.
Barrett is also tying this release to a broader effort. From April 15 through July 31, 2026, entries tied to a $100 donation will go toward Disabled American Veterans, with one winner receiving a matched rifle set. The winner will be announced on August 3rd.
That gives this release a second layer. It’s not just about ownership; it’s tied directly to the people who carried rifles for real.
This Presidents Day, we honor American history by standing with our veterans and upholding service, liberty, and duty with a limited-edition commemorative rifle series. #America250 #barrettfirearms #TheLeaderInLongRange #Model82A1 #50BMG pic.twitter.com/Rd91vKrGbd

Why These Won’t Sit Around
If you’ve been around long enough, you know how this goes.
Limited run. Strong platform. Real symbolism. It doesn’t take long before these are gone and trading hands at a premium.
Expect pricing in line with Barrett’s standard .50-cal rifles, with the added collector value these sets bring. Translation: this isn’t an impulse buy, but it’s also not something you wait on if you’re serious.
If you want one, you’re going to need to move through a dealer or have them pull from distribution. If you hesitate, someone else won’t.
Where to Find Them
The America’s 250th Series is shipping now in limited quantities to distributors nationwide. If your dealer doesn’t have one on the rack, they can request it.

Because once these beauties are gone, they’re not coming back.
