Russo-Ukrainian War Spillover: Sri Lanka Defaults on External Debts

Sri Lanka has announced that their country would default on its external public debt as its foreign reserves are depleted. It is the first time in history Sri Lanka would default on its debts due to a combination of bad policy decisions and spillovers of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

US Senate Passes $1.5 Trillion Government Funding Bill With $13.6 Billion For Ukraine Aid

Following the White House’s recent request of $10 billion worth of funding for additional humanitarian, security, and economic assistance for Ukraine and US’ central European partners last March 2 as outlined in a letter sent to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the US Senate has now passed a $1.5 trillion government funding bill which included a $13.6 billion in aid to Ukraine. The Senate approved the funding bill with a 68 to 31 vote.

UK, Canada, And Netherlands Form The ‘International Ukraine Support Group’
