Today, SOFREP’s Jack Murphy leaves the comfy confines of our usual bar or pub interviews in New York City or Las Vegas and travels to Kurdistan, where he meets up with Joey and Kurt, Americans who have gone there to fight with the Peshmerga.

Our conversation today focuses on airstrikes and their effectiveness in the type of conflict they are fighting. The need for the positive identification of targets is emphasized. They guys also talk about fighting with soldiers from all over the world, a group where everyone has a different level of experience and different training.

They end by discussing what anyone contemplating fighting with a foreign force should consider before they go. Namely, they should know what they are getting into, be committed to staying the duration of the fight, and be certain that their participation is genuinely helpful to the cause.
