At  6:40 p.m. local time, a US Marine pilot ejected from an F/A-18 Hornet jet approximately 120 miles (190 kilometers) southeast of Iwakuni, Japan. The pilot is assigned to the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing in Okinawa, Japan. The name of the pilot has not been released yet. The search and rescue mission is currently underway. More to follow.
