Burner Friday: IAF Su-30MKI

It’s Burner Friday, FighterSweep fans!! We can’t speak for the rest of you, but it’s one of our favorite offerings.

There’s just something about the the raw demonstration of speed and power, coupled with an awesome visual (Mach diamonds, anyone?) and the distinctive sound of the sky tearing open in a way that only a fully-lit afterburner can provide. Since the weekend is upon us, we want to get you over that last hurdle with a smile on your face.

This Burner Friday is brought to you by the Indian Air Force in the form of their beautiful Su-30MKI “Flanker-H.” Designed and built specifically for the Indian Air Force, the Sukhoi Su-30MKI is an advanced, super-maneuverable air superiority fighter. Well known for its thrust vectoring and astonishing maneuverability, this beast also has a very distinct blue burner that stands in contrast to the standard orange we are accustomed to seeing.
