From The Cockpit: Hornet Ball 2015

Happy Monday, FighterSweep Fans! We wanted to start your week off in spectacular fashion, and what better way than to provide you with the latest and greatest video from the West Coast Strike Fighter fleet?!

As we pass another birthday for the mighty United States Navy (240 years and counting!), we are rewarded with a superb Hornet Ball 2015 video.  This year’s Hornet Ball was an undoubted success, thanks in no small part to Fighter Pilot shenanigans, our legendary camaraderie, and of course this video.

I’m not sure about you, but it seems year after year they keep getting better and better. The bros keep raising the bar, setting a standard for all other tactical aviators to follow for showing the rest of the world how (and sometimes where) we apply our craft.

VFA-146, an NAS Lemoore-based Strike Fighter squadron, is just one of the units featured in the Hornet Ball 2015 video.

In this year’s edition enjoy all of the F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet footage you could ask for.  From traps aboard the boat in nearly 0/0 conditions, to fighting both MiG-29 Fulcrums and Su-27 Flankers, this video does not disappoint.

Enjoy!
