Everybody knows that Navy SEALs are great problem-solvers. It’s been said that there’s no problem a SEAL can’t resolve with a block of C4.

But a flashlight?

In response to the tragedy that struck the theater in Aurora, CO that fateful night, Brandon wrote a piece called Navy SEAL Lessons Learned From Aurora Colorado, a post which put SOFREP ‘on the map’, so to speak. One thing that got a lot of people talking was Brandon’s recommendation to carry a Surefire P2X Fury Dual Output LED flashlight, and to be prepared to use it to blind an assailant for the few seconds it would take to ‘fight or flight’.

Not a week goes by without a public shooting or senseless violence in the news. Brandon’s post is as relevant today, sadly, as it was two years ago.
