Four Iranian commandos killed in Syria

Four Iranian commandos were killed in action by anti-government Sunni militias in Syria on Monday, April 11th. This comes just a week after Tehran announced they’d deployed a small group of army commandos to Syria to provide support to the embattled al-Assad regime. The commandos, part of the army’s 65th Airborne Special Forces Brigade, mark the first official Iranian military presence in Syria.
