Being able to protect your hands whether your a deployed overseas, out on the range, or out on an adventure is extremely important. All it takes is one small infected cut to take you out of the game. The Safariland Group is well known for their line of holsters and gear. One of the brands they offer is Hatch, which is a manufacturer of protective performance gloves. We recently reviewed the Hatch SOGL Heavy Gloves which are a heavier glove constructed from Nomex and goatskin leather.
The gloves we are looking at here are the Task Heavy Knuckle Gloves. With rubberized knuckle protection, these gloves are designed for tactical patrol and rugged environment shooting. These Hatch gloves are also well suited for use as a working glove in hiking, camping, and backpacking environments, which is what I primarily use these gloves for. The backside of the gloves stretch and breathe, which helps to increase comfort when wearing these gloves for extended periods of time. Also, weapon manipulation is a breeze while wearing these gloves due to their low profile fit.
If you’re in the market for a pair of tactical shooting gloves or just need something to protect your hands while outdoors, then these should be on your short list. The fact that they come from the Safariland Group and carry a very affordable price point, you really can’t go wrong with a pair of these. I’m going to continue to use these in wilderness settings to see how they stand up to use and abuse out in the field and under various weather conditions. I’ll keep you posted.
