With the bombings in Paris last year and the recent bombings in Belgium, Europe seems to be past the saturation level of radicalized Islam within its borders. Freely opening borders to refugees from war-torn countries in the Middle East without vetting them has allowed ISIS recruiters and terrorists in amongst the population.
This has only fueled the ISIS machine with new recruits, as the organization’s warped ideology spreads among vulnerable minds. The European Union has been slow to react to the growing Muslim refugee population and has underestimated the amount of damage a few terrorists hiding among women and children can do. Hesitation to act has let the ISIS network grow, proliferate, and destroy everything it touches.
