London, England– Multiple people were reportedly stuck by a van outside of a mosque in Finsbury Park. According to the Independent, police responded to the mosque at 12:02 am local time and arrested a male driver. The Imam of the mosque told al Jazeera that at least six people were killed in the incident. This claim has not been confirmed by police or EMS. The statement from the Metropolitan police stated, “There are a number of casualties being worked on at the scene. There has been one person arrested.” Muslim council members have stated that Muslims were targeted as they left services during Ramadan. More to follow as this situation is still developing.
