SOF TV: ALLAH AKBAR!

When you’re cold and deep in the mountains there is nothing quite like starting a fire to warm the bones, and it provides a little entertainment.  There’s something primal and good about starting a warm fire, not that you can do this operationally, most of the time it’s sleeping boots on and gun at the ready.  A fire can also be very entertaining in the dark of the night.  Somehow I can identify with a moth to flame and the hypnotic trance the poor little buggers fall into.  I’ve worked with more than one Ranger, and the joke around the fire pit was always that the fire itself was called “Ranger TV”.  Pretty funny, and I can see the connection SOF wide.

Well here’s some footage fresh off the battlefield. I think you’ll agree, no matter what SOF unit you’re with, this is SOF TV at its finest. Enjoy…..
