Spec Ops Warfighter Will Have Fusion (IR-Thermal) Vision Soon

Several companies have developed retinal implants that restore gray-scale eyesight to the previously blind.  It’s only a matter of time before agencies like DARPA will look to use this technology to enhance the Special Operations Warfighter.  Some procedures (see the full video below) are minimally invasive and last only 30 minutes.

So how long will it be until we see enhancements that allow Spec Ops personnel to see in multiple spectrums? Very soon I’d guess.
