The Rhodesian SAS Files: What was the Rhodesian SAS?

In this SOFREP exclusive interview, we sat down with Keith Nell, the Rhodesian Special Air Service operator who was assigned to hunt down and eliminate the terrorists responsible for what has been called “Rhodesia’s 9/11.” By 1978, the Rhodesian Bush War between ZIPRA and ZANLA communist terrorists had terrorized the local villages in the area. He was assigned to train the indigenous fighters and hunt down the SA-7 gang responsible for two plane crashes. Keith Nell describes the Rhodesian SAS, saying “SAS were probably the…the best-trained special forces soldiers that we had.” He goes on to discuss the training and operations undertaken by the Rhodesian SAS. Watch the interview to hear a real-life story of tragedy, terrorism, mutiny, and heroism from one of the SAS operators who lived it.
