Watch: Historic bomber ‘Memphis Belle’ undergoes rework and restoration

A little over a month ago we told you about the World War II Air Force Bomber ‘Memphis Belle‘ and that it will be put on public display at the National Museum of the US Air Force beginning in May 2018.

Well, before going on public display you need to look your best and the same applies for the most famous bomber ever so it is undergoing some major rework and restoration at the museum located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio.

If you are in the area and interested in viewing the restoration work the museum has a “Behind the Scenes Tour’.

Behind the Scenes Tours are regularly scheduled, free guided tours of the museum’s restoration area. Participants are shuttled to the restoration hangars, located about one mile from the main museum complex. Tours are offered every Friday (some exceptions) at 12:15 p.m. Advance registration is required. Sign up early as tours may fill up quickly!
