Big Phil talks about the first SAS mission “Operation Squatter” in 1941. The operation included an air drop into Libya in order to destroy German airplanes. They did not have the right equipment, the right type of aircraft, or adequate jump training, yet still attempted the mission. The British SAS ultimately suffered heavy losses.
