President Dwight D. Eisenhower pushed for the creation of the U.S. Army Marksman Unit in 1956 in order to improve marksmanship Army wide. Since then, the unit has competed in every summer Olympics that the United States has participated in since 1960 and the team has earned 24 Olympic medals. Here are the Soldiers shooting in the 2016 summer Olympics in Rio:
