We are very lucky to have her story captured on video. Her service, just like many other OSS veterans, paved the way for the CIA and the special operations community.
The OSS Society has introduced a bill, the OSS Congressional Gold Medal Act, with the hopes of awarding OSS veterans the Congressional Gold Medal in recognition of their superior service and contributions during World War II. As of right now, the OSS Society has 53 congressional co-sponsors, indicating a strong initial bipartisan support for the bill.
General Donovan said the men and women who served in the OSS performed “some of the bravest acts of the war.” By going onto the the OSS Society website and sending a letter to your congressman, you can help recognize and honor the veterans of the OSS for their heroic and pioneering service during World War II.
