The Special Forces Readiness Evaluation (SFRE) is a 3-day event that assess your potential as a candidate to attend SFAS. Successful completion of SFRE is manditory in order to receive a slot to SFAS. The SFRE  is evolving and changing with time and is set up in a similar fashion to SFAS. In the vast majority of cases, individuals performing well at SFRE also perform well at SFAS, with the converse holding true as well. Bear in mind that SFRE is not preparation for SFAS; it is simply an indicator.
