In the foreground of this photo is former NFL linebacker and philanthropist Donnie Edwards. Edwards’ organization, Best Defense Foundation, works to honor WWII veterans by returning them to the battlefields on which they fought. Edwards, who started the organization after his retirement from professional football, was inspired by his grandfather who fought in WWII.
