What many don’t realize in America is that the US Department of State’s Victoria Nuland, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian affairs, quietly worked behind the scenes to out the former leader of Ukraine. The mess didn’t happen without our help.

She even identified the man who should replace Yanukovych after his ouster and—presto!—he did indeed emerge as Ukraine’s interim leader.
