Dick Marcinko, founder of SEAL Team 6 and Red Cell, gives his current threat assessment during an interview with Brandon Webb. He states that terrorists making a dirty bomb is a real possibility, as the components are readily available. Even without a dirty bomb, such insurgents can still exploit vulnerabilities in the military by other methods, such as contaminating the water supply or tanking the U.S. economy.

He suggests that the best option for incorporating women into the SEALs might be starting a whole new program and growing it from the ground up—similar to how SEAL Team 6 was created.
