The “Bounty Hunters” South Seas Cruise

Happy Saturday, FighterSweep Fans! Today we bring you a cruise video from the “Bounty Hunters” of Strike Fighter Squadron TWO, recently home from a short cruise south of the equator.

Known by their radio callsign of “Bullet,” Strike Fighter Squadron TWO is stationed at NAS Lemoore, California and is assigned to Carrier Air Wing TWO.  They fly the McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) F/A-18F Super Hornet and have most recently deployed aboard U.S.S. George Washington (CVN-73).

The Bounty Hunters of FIGHTING TWO were established in October 1972 to introduce the Grumman F-14A Tomcat to the fleet and soon thereafter flew top cover for the evacuation of Saigon.

In July of 2003, the Bounty Hunters transitioned from the Big Fighter to the mighty Rhino, officially becoming Strike Fighter Squadron TWO.
