Breaking: US Air Force F-15 Shoots Down Armed Iranian Drone in Syria

US military officials are reporting the downing of an Iranian made armed Shahed-129 drone by an F-15 fighter jet. The drone was being flown by  pro Syrian government personnel.

The armed pro-regime Shaheed-129 UAV was shot down by a U.S. F-15E Strike Eagle about 12:30 a.m. after it displayed hostile intent and advanced on Coalition forces. This is the second the U.S. shot down an Iranian drone in less than a month.

The armed pro-regime Shaheed-129 UAV was shot down by a U.S. F-15E Strike Eagle about 12:30 a.m. after it displayed hostile intent and advanced on Coalition forces. This is the second the U.S. shot down an Iranian drone in less than a month.

The F-15E intercepted the armed UAV after it was observed advancing on the coalition position. The armed UAV was shot down when it continued to advance on the coalition’s position without diverting its course. – Fox News

Last Sunday a Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet shot down a Syrian Su-22 jet that had been dropping munitions near coalition supported fighters.

This is the second time in less than a month that the US has shot down a pro Syrian regime drone.
