Burner Friday: Bad to the Bone!

It’s Burner Friday, FighterSweep Fans! You know how much we love the raw power and ear-splitting awesomeness of reheat, so we bring you the fires of freedom burning loud and proud at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.

This Rockwell B-1B Lancer, assigned to the 34th Bomb Squadron at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota, is taking off to support a Green Flag-West mission. There is something really badass about the Bone going into ‘burner in all four motors while the jet is still on the brakes. It’s just awe-inspiring to see the airplane actually tugging against its restraints, begging to be let loose.

As we’ve shared with you before, there are a plethora of things that make the B-1 undeniably Bad to the Bone, and we’ve always been huge fans of this airplane. Now sporting a glass cockpit and new avionics, the Lancer is an even more capable platform when it comes to providing our enemies with “positive influence” and helping the United States to gain and maintain Air Dominance in any battlespace.
