Such failures continue to cost more than the lives or their soldiers. The psychological effects of losing to dumb mistakes, breeds further internal contempt within an already fractured army, and edges into the ‘Just go Taliban, it’s easier,’ mentality. As well as another win for Taliban forces and the subsequent propaganda video.
