Colombia wins Fuerzas Comando Competition 2016

Out of 20 different military and police special operations teams from countries from he Americas, Colombia came out the winner of this year’s Fuerzas Comando Competition, taking its eighth trophy. The event was hosted by Peru and sponsored by SOUTHCOM. The competition lasted from May 2, 2016 to May 12, 2016 and consisted of two types of competitions:

Assault team competition
The assault team competition consists of a series of events including physical fitness tests, a confidence course, close-quarters combat, rucksack march, an aquatic event, and an obstacle course.

Sniper team competition
The sniper team competition consists of physical-fitness tests, marksmanship, mobility, and concealment events.
