Hi Team Room,

Just a quick note to say that we are really working hard to take SOFREP to the next level this year as we transition from blog to legitimate news site. Our focus will continue to be on military, foreign policy, and domestic security news, all told from the veteran perspective.

Updates:

We just launched the new site and Team Room today. It’s not without some bugs, but we’re working through this. Let us know what you think, and tell us how we can improve the experience in the Team Room. I want to hear back from you guys. Comment below is fine, even if it’s just “good job.”

Our content went from two to five posts daily to over 20 starting today. It’s a game changer.

We are hiring two full-time staff writers, and are currently running a selection process, so don’t be surprised to see a few new names. If you like what they’re doing, tell them so.

More Team Room and 300 events coming, and some cool giveaways. Please help us pass the word about our new Crate Club, and sorry for the ton of emails that went out over the holidays—we’re just getting our system figured out, and the frequency of emails should go down.

Look for more great content from the worst places, spots the MSM will not go to. We are also going to be covering the election this year from a veteran perspective. Stand by for that as well.
